Ajay Devgn is all set for the release of his Golmaal 3

Apparently, the sequel is going to be whackier and funnier than ever before. “We also have an interesting story and a nice emotional angle to it which will touch your heart” says Ajay.

The earlier sequels had him being naughty and bratty but his role in Golmaal 3, says Ajay is that of a man who is a bit crazy and mad. “My character is short tempered and he keeps breaking fingers, that’s why he has the edgy look. I am more like a child who gets upset for no reason,” he says.

The film will also see Kunal Khemu in one of the roles. It may be recalled that Ajay worked with Kunal as a child star in Zakhm in 1998. “Yes he reminded me about it on the first day of the shoot. Kunal is a good actor and he’s grown now. But he was always a talented kid.”

Ajay will be seen doing death-defying stunts in the film. “This time we have blown more cars. I will be seen standing between two cars. The last time I did that was for my debut venture Phool Aur Kaante. It’s a big scene. I have been lucky to work with different genres. I got a chance to work with good directors at the right time and experiment with roles.”

Right now Ajay is busy shuttling from London to Mumbai shooting for Priyadarshan’s Tez in London. “I can’t talk much, but yes it’s an action film. I will be releasing my next Toonpur Ka Super Hero an animated venture soon,” he adds.

I'm always under pressure to promote films: Ajay Devgn

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn may have appeared in "Kaun Banega Crorepati" to promote his forthcoming comedy "Golmaal 3", but he actually opposes the new marketing gimmick of using TV shows to market movies.
"I am always under the producer’s pressure to do such things to promote films. If one is doing it, then another has to do it as well because it becomes a habit for the audience to watch such things," Ajay told IANS in an interview.
He joined Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and director Rohit Shetty on the quiz show hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan for Sony. The film is releasing Friday.Special efforts are made to create space for movie stars in television programmes, says Ajay.
"Scenes are written to incorporate the stars of the respective film to promote it (through serials). It’s not a good idea. I don’t know where it will meet its end. But one can’t stop it, will have to do it unanimously. I always do it indifferently," said the 41-year-old.
He had earlier appeared on "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma" and also featured in an episode of "Crime Patrol" to promote "Aakrosh", a film about honour killings.
The trend was started by Abhishek Bachchan when he appeared on the hit series "Balika Vadhu" to promote his 2008 release "Drona". In recent times, Akshay Kumar joined the cast of "Sasural Genda Phool" for the marketing of "Khatta Meetha"; Salman Khan appeared on Colors’ soap "Laagi Tujhse Lagan" for his recent mega hit "Dabangg"; and Neetu and Rishi Kapoor featured on SAB TV’s comedy show "Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma" to introduce their film "Do Dooni Chaar".
Promotion strategy notwithstanding, Ajay says "Golmaal 3" is a fulsome Diwali treat to the audience and what sets it apart from the last two instalments of the brainless comedies is that this time they have a story to tell.
"The only intention of making sequels of ’Golmaal’ is to entertain people, not to find logic. We planned to release it during Diwali because that’s the festive season and people want to enjoy a movie with family. That’s why we try keeping ’Golmaal’ clean. "There is a very interesting story this time. It’s complicated in the sense that there are two groups and how they fight and get together. There is a nice emotional angle to it. With laughs throughout the movie, somewhere it touches your heart and again resumes to be a full-fledged comedy," said Ajay.
Talking about his character, he said: "My character is little crazy and mad. He has got a bad temper, which makes the character completely different from the first two.
That’s why the character is given a very edgy look."
The actor says in real he is not at all like the character in the movie. "I am not a mad person. That character is too short tempered."The ensemble cast also includes actor Kareena Kapoor. "In this film we needed more characters. Kunal has done a good job in the film," said Ajay. The national award winning actor, who featured in three different movies this year - comedy "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?", political thriller "Raajneeti" and underworld saga "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai" - has always garnered rave reviews for his varied performances."I feel I am very lucky because firstly I got to work in different genres with good directors at the right time. Secondly, I am very happy that people have liked those films. So, I can do different genres and I think acting keeps getting better with experience," he said.

“I wanted all the characters to have different looks in G3:Ajay Devgan

Director Rohit Shetty has made it sure that Ajay Devgan’s entry in ‘Golmaal 3’ is no less than his impressive and grand entry in the earlier sequels “Golmaal: Fun Unlimited” and “Golmaal Returns”. In “Golmaal: Fun Unlimited”, released in 2006, Ajay made his entry on a sports bike and in the 2008 “Golmaal Returns” he balanced himself on two Hummer cars. In the latest one, Ajay will be seen making an entry balancing himself on two vintage cars driven on two wheels each. The cars will be bright pink and yellow in colour.

Ajay has also sported a brand new rugged look for the film with diamond ear studs, tattoos and cropped hair. Kareena Kapoor sports a tomboy look, Tusshar Kapoor has a tapori look and Arshad Warsi too has experimented with his looks.
“I wanted all the characters to have different looks in G3. For Ajay (who plays Gopal again), I wanted a character that looked different from everything he has done. He has been working hard on his body a lot, so we will have him flaunting his body. He plays a hyper character who loses his temper very quickly, because of which everyone is scared of him. People never know what he will laugh about or get angry about.” Shetty said.

Ajay Devgan’s tattoos have been designed by Aalim’s studio. “Vishwas from my salon designed the tattoo on Ajay’s neck but the concept and choice was Ajay’s. The tattoo is of a Celtic or tribal trishul. No actor in India has got a tattoo made on the neck.” Aalim said.
“We have given Ajay the buzz cut, a more macho, masculine and grungy look than he normally sports. We were waiting for all his film shoots to get over before we could give him this look as otherwise it would have continuity problems. He took a keen interest in the whole look and styling.” Aalim added.

Vidya and Ajay Devgan are together again

Vidya Balan and Ajay Devgan, both are known to be sensitive actors who get into the skin of their characters very easily. Now, it so seems that the two would be seen together once again (they were together in ‘Halla Bol’) in Ekta Kapoor’s forthcoming project on the life and relationships of South siren Silk Smitha. Ajay has recently worked with Balaji in his latest release ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’ which went on to be a rage at the box-office.
If Ajay gives a nod to the role, he will be seen playing of a renowned filmmaker, who was involved with the actress Silk Smitha when her career was in its peak. The film will deal more on Smitha’s relationships than her career. Director Milan Luthria is really keen on Vidya to play the role as she just fits easily into the criteria of a Malyalam girl with a very Indian type of body.

As for us, we would like to see the sparks between the two refines actors set the screen afire once again!!

Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgan is hit on screen

Who would have thought that Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgan would make an onscreen couple that would catch the fancy of not just audiences but the astute dream merchants of Bollywood as well?

The two actors are wowing the viewers with their superb chemistry in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and even as the film still runs to good occupancy, producers are queuing up to pair Ajay and Kangana together.

We hear that the awesome twosome have three films in which they would be paired up again.

Priyadarshan wants Ajay and Kangana together for his tentatively titled film ‘Bullet Train’. Likewise, David Dhawan wants the duo for his ‘Rascals’; and producer Kumar Mangat, a good friend of Devgan, wants Kangana opposite the droopy eyed actor for his film as well.

Truly, nothing succeeds like success.
